Who am I?

ILONA REGŐS

I am a dancer, movement coach and hands on practicioner.

I research the possibilities of the human body and movement.

My way into the world of therapies was through dance. In recent years, I have been working with contact improvisation and somatic techniques.

I believe that this approach and the experiences in my own body very effectively complement the knowledge I have acquired in rehabilitation and therapy schools.

I started teaching 19 years ago, I have been dealing with individual treatments for 5 years...

The Story of My Healing

I have always danced and moved since I was a child.

Then when I become a mom, all this was reduced to a minimum.

In 2015, I had serious lower back issue for the first time. I could hardly move.

In the following years, I experienced a lot of physical and psychological trials.

Being in my body was getting worse and worse

I could neither get up nor walk in the morning.

My 'daily exercise' was lying on the hard floor, nothing else worked.

Thet was the beginning of a new journey ..

Over the years, I gained a lot of training and a lot of experience, which form the basis of my work.

Today, possibilities have been released in my body that I never expected. Pain was replaced by freedom, strength and harmony.

I consider it my duty to pass on what I have learned during my journey.

My approach

Holistic

My approach is based on a holistic view, according to which the human body, our mind, our emotions and our environment form a connected, inseparable whole.

The bio-psycho-social and bio-psycho-immunological models also emphasize this, but researches and studies discussing new scientific connections appear every day.

For me, this approach is not only a theory, but a reality, which is confirmed by my own experiences.

During my work, I not only treat symptoms, but also focus on the causes behind them. I work to restore health and well-being with the whole person in mind.

Somatic

The somatic approach is a special way of self-awareness/body awareness and healing.

By turning our attention inward and consciously sensing our body, we relearn our communication and relationship with it.

We become able to discover the traumas, pathological movement patterns, stress and tension trapped in our body, and then heal them.

We treat the body not just as a physical object, but as a sensitive, conscious and learning system, where the integration of internal experiences, sensations and feelings is extremely important.

We can hear and trust our body's whispering signals again.

We consciously respond to your needs and wants.

This is essential for healing and achieving well-being.

This process simply brings the feeling that we are not separate from our body. In fact, our bodily signals help us even beyond the physical.

Our self-confidence increases, we regain control over our health!

Fascial

Our body is a connected system interwoven by connective tissue down to the cellular level, so its condition fundamentally affects the condition of all our organ systems.

With the help of manual, instrumental and movement therapy tools that affect this, it is scientifically proven that the inbalances in the body can be restored with good results.

Whether it's musculoskeletal pain, headache, menstrual pain, stress disorders...etc

The methods I use are mostly based on fascial approach, they help to restore the balance of the fascia and therefore the health of the whole body.

Fascial Techniques

FDM

FDM = Fascia Distortion Model

Stephen Typaldos D.O. fascial/connective tissue model of an osteopath and emergency physician

It is recognized as the fastest-growing pain-relieving, manual therapy.

Many locomotor disorders and diseases can be treated with FDM, which previous therapies could not solve or showed only very slow results.

Based on the patient's pain communication,

find and manage it easily and efficiently

the cause of musculoskeletal pain.

• a burning, radiating, pulling sensation along a line, less range of motion in the line where it hurts

• it hurts in one point, stings near a joint

• the inside of the joint hurts or feels strange,

you can show it by moving and searching

• deep in the muscle, a dull, pressing sensation

• it does not hurt, but the joint is not narrowed

• you can show it by smoothing and rubbing,

the limb is numb, tingling

Cranio FDM

Application of the FDM concept to face, neck and head pain.

Expected results:

Reducing tension

Cranio FDM therapy helps to relieve tension in the facial and cranial areas, which often contributes to headaches. Relaxed muscles and tissues can help reduce pain and tension.

Improving mental agility

Manipulations during therapy allow improving the mobility of the skull. This helps prevent or relieve headaches that can be caused by a stiff or restricted movement of the skull.

Reducing nervous tension

Cranio FDM therapy can also have a direct effect on the nervous system. Relieving pressure on nerves and reducing nerve tension can help treat headaches, especially those that are neural in origin.

Visceral Manipulation

Visceral manipulation therapy is a form of treatment that

which focuses on the treatment of internal organs and the tissues surrounding them. To its effect

the organs and their associated muscles improve,

function of ligaments and blood vessels

If these do not have enough room for movement, or their bands, cases are not flexible enough, there are adhesions, tensions, there is not enough liquid in the diaper system, then they will not be able to perform their own tasks and may cause not only organ problems but also locomotor problems.

Recommended:

In case of chronic locomotor complaints that do not depend on locomotor therapies

In case of functional disorders in internal medicine

For gynecological and urological problems

In case of breathing difficulties

After surgical interventions

After a big illness

After giving birth

Vagus nerve mobilization

Vagus mobilization therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on stimulating the vagus nerve.

The vagus nerve plays an important role in the regulation of many organ systems in the body.

The goal of therapy is to help the vagus nerve function optimally by:

nervous tension decreases, relaxation and healing become easier

immune system functions improve

chronic inflammations are reduced

chronic pains are alleviated

digestive functions improve

sleep quality improves

mental ability and emotion regulation improve

high blood pressure decreases

autoimmune processes are reduced

potential and fertility are improved

Spine and fascia training

Spine and fascia training is a therapeutic method that focuses on improving the mobility and stability of the spine and fascia system. The spine and fascia system play an important role in regulating posture and movement.

Their effects

Alleviation of musculoskeletal pain

Exercises and training can help increase the mobility, strength, flexibility and dynamic stability of the body. This can improve daily functions and relieve back pain, especially for those with spinal problems

Improve posture

Spine and fascia training can help correct bad posture and help maintain good posture, which has a long-term preventive effect.

Sensorimotor Training

Sensorimotor training is a therapy that focuses on improving the connection between the body and the brain. Special exercises and movements are used that can help develop coordination of perception and movement.

Its effects

Improving movement coordination

Sensorimotor training can help improve the coordination and stability of body movements, which makes everyday movements easier and improves sports performance.

Pain relief

By releasing muscle tension and learning appropriate movement patterns, body use and posture improves, which is associated with a reduction in back pain both in the short and long term.

Improving balance

Sensorimotor training can help improve balance and prevent injuries.

Decompression Training

Decompression movement therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on reducing the pressure on the spine.

It does this by releasing tension in the muscles and connective tissue around the spine, which can help reduce pain and discomfort.

Its effects

Disc load reduction

Decompression exercise therapy can reduce pressure on the discs, which helps treat and prevent herniated discs.

Improving movement functions

Training increases the mobility and dynamic stability of the spine. As a result, everyday movement functions become problem-free, which significantly improves the quality of life.

Scar treatment

Scar mobilization is a therapeutic technique that uses special massage techniques to treat scars.

Its purpose is to soften the scar tissue and improve its elasticity.

Scars affecting the locomotor organs can limit joint range of motion and disrupt muscle balance.

Scarring affecting internal organs can cause many internal and musculoskeletal complaints

Scar treatment releases the stuck together connective tissue elements, thereby preventing the development of problems.

Scars must be regularly checked throughout our lives and re-treated if necessary.

Cupping therapy

Cupping as a technique can be found in both ancient Eastern and modern Western healing procedures.

We can already read about it in the first written records in China.

Effects:

• pain relief and tension relief

• circulation enhancement

• adhesion (glued together connective tissue) solution

• better local healing

• supplement for scar treatment

• treatment of dry skin and sweating

• tissue mobilization

Kinesio Tape

Kinesio taping means the application of a special elastic patch.

Its purpose is to support movement and reduce the load on muscles or joints.

The patch does not contain any pharmaceutical active substance (active substance), its effect is given by sticking it in the right place, with the right tension and in the right way.

Effects:

analgesic

muscle and joint reliever

anti-inflammatory

relaxing, mobilizing

mild dynamic fixer

lymphatic draining, edema reducing

improving the quality of healing

Medical Flossing

The flossing method is a temporary compression and mobilization technique that is performed with a special rubber band that acts on the joint/tissue and helps

in

restoring and increasing the range of motion,

respectively in reducing pain.

Foam roller and Trigger point ball

Self-massage using the SMR foam roller can help

eliminate adhesions,

reduce muscle stiffness and soreness,

improve circulation and oxygenation, and

reduce tissue tension, which can lead to

improved performance.

NRX® Dynamic Joint Stabilization

Developed by the Swedish company Mediroyal, with a huge international career, NRX® forms a transition between kinesio-tape and orthoses, combining all their advantages and eliminating their more disadvantageous characteristics. Like orthoses, it provides much more stable and stronger support for injured limbs/joints than kinesio-tape and/or effectively corrects various joint deformities.
