Story of mine as a dancer
Dance has been a part of my life since I was a small child.
Thanks to my parents, I was fortunate enough to be the youngest participant at the summer courses at IDMC, where I got a taste of many forms of dance and movement arts, such as Mattox, American Step, Afro, Butoh, etc.
From young age I was dancing folk dance and was a competitive gymnast.
As a teenager, I participated Magdolna Zákány's ballet and jazz classes to develop my movement skills.
In my early twenties, I attended Béla Földi's company trainings in european-modern techniques every day for five years, and also I was occasionally learning from Raza Hammadi, Joseph Tmimm and Lóránd Zahár.
During this time, in contemporary dance i was learning with József Hámori.
This is the time when I first met Contact Improvisation as well.
As a member of several alternative associations, I worked as a performer and creator. For example 'Kontaktus Társulat' whom with we created CI performance called 'Ellenpont'.
I taught dance to children and body-awareness techniques to adults.
I became a certified sports coach.
With the birth of my children, therapeutic studies became a focus.
I've completed various movement and manual therapy trainings.
Seven years ago, I returned to teaching contemporary dance and improvisation to teenagers and movement therapy to adults.
I immersed myself into Contact Improvisation and somatics.
I worked at Csiky Gergely Theatre as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer.
Currently I practice, perform and teach Contact Improvisation and other forms of improvisation, and I am organising workshops and KontaktLand Festival with Gregory Chevalier and Lotti Szomor.
I am particularly interested in somatics, effortless movement, and the self-development aspects of performance.
I was a member and co-creator of KIT Ensemble for 4 years.
I perform with Third Kind Collective and at Open Space.
CI teachers who have had a great influence on me: Kirstie Simpson, Éva Karczag, Nita Little, Urs Staufer, Chris Aiken, Nina Wehnert, Jori Snell, Gál Eszter, Gregory Chevalier, Artem Marcov, K.J. Holmes, Thomas Kampe
